Finding the right library wedding venue means choosing a place with character, history, and a story of its own. For Andrea and Benjamin, the George Peabody Library in Baltimore was the perfect setting. Surrounded by soaring book stacks and timeless architecture, they celebrated their marriage with a day that felt elegant, welcoming, and deeply personal.
At Jayne Heir Weddings & Events, we loved bringing their vision to life. Together, we designed a celebration that honored the beauty of the library while adding thoughtful details that reflected who Andrea and Benjamin are as a couple. Every choice was intentional, creating an experience that felt seamless from beginning to end.

The George Peabody Library made an unforgettable backdrop for Andrea and Benjamin’s ceremony. Natural light poured through the skylight while guests gathered beneath rows of historic bookshelves that stretched high above them.
Rather than compete with the architecture, we embraced it. A floral meadow framed the ceremony with soft blooms and natural greenery, adding warmth while keeping the library’s beauty the focus. The result felt timeless, romantic, and perfectly suited to the space.
Andrea and Benjamin’s portrait locations highlighted both Baltimore’s historic architecture and waterfront scenery, adding beautiful variety to their wedding gallery.

Andrea and Benjamin wanted their reception to feel warm and inviting. Every design choice reflected that vision.
Their custom invitation suite introduced rich green tones, hand-illustrated leopards, and details that carried throughout the celebration. Inside the library, long tables welcomed guests beneath the historic balconies.
From merlot hues and cascading grapes along the tables to greenery and subtle animal print moments, every detail fit perfectly within that speakeasy lounge design. Green linens, scalloped chargers, antique brass candleholders, cordless lamps, and lush florals completed the tablescape while letting the library’s architecture shine.
After dinner, guests gathered on the dance floor to celebrate late into the evening. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with thoughtful design and meaningful moments.

Every wedding we plan begins with understanding our couple’s vision. Andrea and Benjamin wanted a celebration that felt elegant without feeling formal and personal without losing the beauty of the historic setting.
Throughout the planning process, we guided every design decision, coordinated vendors, managed timelines, and oversaw each detail behind the scenes. That preparation allowed the day to unfold naturally, giving Andrea and Benjamin the freedom to enjoy every moment with the people they love.
Watching every detail come together inside the George Peabody Library reminded us why intentional planning matters. When each element works together, the entire experience feels effortless.

Andrea and Benjamin’s wedding is a beautiful example of how a historic library wedding venue can become the setting for a celebration that feels both timeless and personal.
