Preparing for their Wedding at the Willard

We aimed to make Bishop Staples and First Lady Dr. Staples’ wedding day unforgettable. That meant creating a luxurious area for them to get ready. One way to elevate such a space is through custom bridal suites that showcase the bride’s wedding details. Wedding designs are most memorable when every detail is cohesive. Naturally, that’s why we added lush, fresh florals that echoed those being used throughout the ceremony and reception (keep scrolling!).

For this event, we even provided a velvet sofa to further indulge the couple in elegance and luxury. We wanted to create the perfect ambiance while getting ready for the most incredible day.

A Pristine Wedding Ceremony at the Temple of Praise

Bishop Staples and First Lady Dr Staples shared a truly special moment at their wedding – a “first touch” instead of a first look. Keeping tradition alive, they waited until the ceremony to see each other.

The celebration took place at The Temple of Praise, an awe-inspiring venue that we adorned with white roses, hydrangeas, and orchids. The pulpit was accentuated by a sea of flowers, elevating an already beautiful celebration. The sanctuary was bathed in a captivating light production, adding a magical touch to the enchanting festivities.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds posed for photographs with their family in front of the altar. As they exited to head towards their reception at The Willard, a vintage Rolls Royce was waiting, ready to whisk them away.

Stunning and Ethereal Wedding Reception Decor

For their reception, we had the pleasure of designing a classic white and gold color palette for their wedding at The Willard, which exuded elegance and sophistication. On top of that, the event was brought to life with unique florals created by the talented designers at Distinctive Event Design. Our breath was taken away by the awe-inspiring arrangements that were nothing short of heavenly and ethereal. It was a pristine design that complimented the grandeur of this special occasion.

A Reception Reveal to Remember

Upon their entrance, our bride and groom were in awe of how we transformed the Willard into an entirely new space. Their eyes lit up as they walked in the room. Then, they were marveling at the details that made their dream wedding come to life. Everything from candles on the tables to gorgeous florals around the room was perfect. It’s moments like these that make us love what we do as wedding planners. Seeing a happy couple so happily surprised by everything we’ve done for them is truly remarkable. Truly, it’s one of our favorite parts of being wedding planners. A Wedding Reception at the Willard

Above all, from the soothing melodies of the saxophonist to the sweet first dance shared between the two, and the speeches that brought about laughter and tears – every moment spent at this wedding at the Willard was enchanting. The icing on the cake was when First Lady Dr. Staples surprised us all with a stunning reception bridal jumpsuit. This reception outfit change left everyone in awe once more at the end of the night. Flawless.
