Angela and Jamil tied the knot on November 11, 2022, one of the most coveted dates for weddings. As you will see, it was nothing short of spectacular! The happy couple exchanged vows in the presence of close family and friends in the magnificent Spy Museum at L’Enfant Plaza – a first-of-its-kind, privately owned museum dedicated entirely to spycraft and intelligence operations. The venue provided a unique and evocative backdrop, full of character and intrigue, making for a truly unforgettable celebration. We can’t wait to share the photos from Angela and Jamil’s wedding at the International Spy Museum with you today!
Angela and Jamil wanted their first look to be special and something that they would cherish for a lifetime. They decided to privately recite their vows to each other before the main ceremony, enveloping the moment in intimacy. As they stood outside the luxurious 7th-floor ballroom of the Spy Museum, overlooking the dazzling view, the sight was breathtaking. Both looked stunning – Angela dressed in a beautiful white gown and Jamil in a sharp, tailored suit – and the moment marked the perfect official start to their wedding day.
We delighted in welcoming the fall wedding season with a design that consisted of an exquisite blend of blush, berry, gray, and black modern undertones. Angela and Jamil tied the know in the magnificent 7th-floor ballroom, as three slender rectangle boxes of sturdy metal frames adorned the altar with magnificent florals that did not obstruct the breathtaking view. The aisle was lined with candles and the setting was absolutely idyllic as the sun set over the city.
After Angela and Jamil exited the ceremony space as newlyweds, they joined their guests for cocktail hour on the rooftop of the International Spy Museum. With mouthwatering signature cocktails and joyful spirits, guests enjoyed the skyline views as the perfect segue into their lively wedding reception.
This wedding design is definitely one of our favorites as DC wedding planners to date! We’re in love with the modern and chic vibes that we’ve infused with pops of radiant Berry and Blush colors, along with the beautifully arranged florals.
For Angela and Jamil’s wedding, we were particularly obsessed with the modern and moody tabletop presentation. The clear acrylic chargers, coupled with striking black plates really made the vibrant florals and table setting pop. We also created stunning paper place cards that doubled as menu indicators for the waitstaff. And, as if that wasn’t enough, we set the mood just right with an abundance of candles that created an unforgettable atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
