Being wedding planners, we can’t help but curate an exclusive list of the best wedding venues in DC. Unlike other “best wedding venues” lists, we have only included wedding venues we have worked in before, that we would happily recommend for our couples (even with the most discerning taste!). If you are looking for a wedding venue and are planning a wedding in Washington, DC – welcome!
As DC wedding planners, we live to produce events that embody a modern style with heightened elements of customization and unique components. We pride ourselves in creating the most incredible events, while providing a luxurious and elevated planning experience. If that’s what you are looking for in your wedding day, our team would love to work with you. You can learn more about our wedding planning services here, or get in touch directly here.
Before you know it… your wedding day will be here and we will be showing you how everything came together flawlessly.
Although the Schuyler is a new Washington, DC wedding venue, it has wasted no time becoming one of our favorites. Their ballroom is gorgeous, and we love how we can transform it into something different every single time for our couples (check out this winter wedding, this Mardi gras wedding, or this casino-style wedding for some inspiration on how different each wedding day can be!). The Schuyler has space for up to 450 guests for a seated reception dinner. As a wedding planner who places a huge emphasis on design, I also can’t help but love their floor-level loading dock. We design weddings BIG and these little details make a big difference behind the scenes on your wedding day!
The Ritz Carlton DC is one of the top DC wedding venues, and for more reasons than just their iconic hotel chain name. Located in the historic Georgetown district, this landmark hotel has six different event spaces (offering elegant indoor and outdoor spaces) and can accommodate a guest list of up to 150 people. If you are considering a wedding at the Ritz Carlton DC, you can find this real wedding feature here. Simone and Jacob wanted a classic garden romance feel for their Ritz Carlton wedding and that was exactly what we designed for them. Their “Pour Decisions” bar went viral on Instagram so if it looks familiar, just know that it was featured here first!
If you are charmed by visions of a boutique-style hotel (and endless rooftop views), we are always happy to plan at The Line Hotel. The foundation of the hotel is a 110 year old church, and the architecture of the entire property is absolutely incredible. In case you are curious, YES, you can get married on the rooftop (or in one of the other stunning venues on the property). Depending on the space you choose, The Line Hotel will accommodate guest lists up to 450 people making it a great choice for couples planning their wedding in Washington, DC.
When it comes to the best DC wedding venues, the Conrad Washington DC is one of the first that comes to mind. Both of their ballrooms are very modern and minimalist in design, making them the perfect starting point to create a space that is truly your own – no matter what your guest count is. One of my absolute favorite events last year was this gorgeous all-white wedding at the Conrad – click here to see more photos of the beautiful space!
When I was looking for a space to create a styled shoot that would relaunch the Jayne Heir brand this year, it had to be Larz Anderson House. A gorgeous Beaux Arts mansion built in 1905, the venue embodies that regal heiress feeling that Jayne Heir is known for providing our couples. We know that you want both your wedding day and your wedding planning experience to feel lavish and elevated. The Larz Anderson House is a historical wedding venue in DC, and was officially designated a National Historic Landmark in 1996. Today, it has everything you need for a flawless wedding day. Want more stunning inspiration for your wedding at the Larz Anderson House, check out this Greece-inspired wedding day here.
We were beyond honored to plan and design the wedding of Bishop Staples and First Lady Dr. Staples at the Willard last year, one of the top wedding venues in DC. Located right on Pennsylvania avenue, the Willard InterContinental Washington hotel is easily one of DC’s most sought after wedding venues, only steps away from our city’s most iconic landmarks. With over 200 years of history, this restored Beaux-Arts hotel caters to guest lists of all sizes up to 350 people, with nineteen different event spaces total. If you are looking for something rich in history and regal in ambiance, there is hardly a better choice!
We love each and every one of the venues listed here for different reasons. As wedding planners, we really don’t believe in “one size fits all” for any of our couples. Choosing your wedding venue is one of the first decisions you’ll make. It’s also arguably one of the most important ones. You should not have to do it alone. If you are looking to plan a lavish affair in DC, make sure to connect with us here. In the meantime, we will be sharing plenty of luxurious DC wedding days on Instagram.
