Here at Jayne Heir, we love to celebrate love and infuse our designs with lots of color! Although we have shared some gorgeous monochromatic weddings on the blog lately, after spending a week at Engage!, Patricia and Martinez’ stunning wedding at The Schuyler came to mind when choosing our next blog feature. Not only are Patricia and Martinez are a total match made in heaven, I loved working with them to bring the New Orleans vibe to Washington, DC. Whether or not you would love a Mardi Gras wedding (or just love bright and bold florals!), I am confident you’ll love this feature as much as I do. It was an absolute pleasure planning and designing this gorgeous wedding for such a deserving couple!
When you work with us, you know that absolutely every single detail matters. Patricia and Martinez met in New Orleans during Mardi Gras and we knew right away we wanted to incorporate that part of their love story to create a unique – one of a kind – aesthetic. We started by creating a design that reflected the majestic NOLA color palette and worked with LePenn Designs to help bring our vision to life in each of the paper good items produced for the wedding. From their gorgeous 4 piece invitation suite to the day of wedding signage (keep scrolling for their welcome sign and seating chart for more day of stationery inspiration), every detail embodied the New Orleans spirit.
The Schuyler is a new Washington DC wedding venue, and so far we have loved creating magic for our couples here. The venue itself is incredibly versatile, and we were able to bring in an abundance of florals, rentals, linens, to make the space look completely unique to Patricia and Martinez. With a mixture of textures, lighting, and heights to add visual interest, the space came together absolutely flawlessly. Would it surprise you looking at this wedding that colorful weddings are often harder to design than more muted/classic color palettes?
If you want proof that no two weddings ever look the same, check out this winter wedding at the Schuyler we planned last year. It was a completely different vibe but we still enjoyed the luxurious feel of this new Washington DC wedding venue!
When it comes to event design, we are masters at the art of storytelling! We mentioned using their love story for inspiration a little earlier, but we want to stress that each of our couple’s love stories are incredibly special. At Jayne Heir, we pride ourselves in being able to creatively express our couples journey through event design.
Although we brought the Mardi Gras theme throughout the wedding day, you can really appreciate the details in their overall décor. As luxury DC wedding planners, we are not afraid to work with bold designs. From the Fleur de Lis shaped menu cards to the table streets names that mimicked the actual street signs in New Orleans, there was no detail left behind. As for the couple’s sweetheart table, it was gorgeous from every single angle!⠀⠀⠀⠀
I can hardly believe this wedding took place in the Fall, because it truly feels like it was just yesterday we were celebrating with this incredible couple. After spending last week in New Orleans, I feel even more confident that we absolutely nailed that NOLA color palette and the celebratory feeling this city exudes. This wedding was one that was even more joyful than it can possibly look in pictures.
Whether you favor bold wedding designs, or lean towards something a bit more classic, we still want it to be unique to you! We are here to help make your vision a reality!
