A Luxurious and Ethereal Blue Baby Shower in DC

We are kicking off May with some serious baby shower inspiration, and this luxurious blue baby shower from a couple of months ago is full of all the vibes you have been looking for. With an almost monochromatic blue color palette (and splashes of ivory and gold), we curated this design exclusively for Michelle and Bode to welcome their sweet Baby Ogunwole. The theme was “treasured beyond measure” and below you’ll see the use of treasure chests throughout this design which is symbolic of the precious gift that only God can give. It was truly gorgeous from every angle.

A Stunning Baby Shower at Home

Although we love working with top Washington wedding venues, there is truly something special that happens when the event takes place at your home. We essentially get to work building a venue from the ground up, and it’s both a challenge and incredibly rewarding to bring your space to life. Michelle and Bode opened the doors to their home and we were absolutely delighted to be there. The Jayne Heir team arrived early to ensure the abundance of florals, balloons, and rentals were setup to perfection before guests’ arrived. An 18ft staircase greeted guests and it just got even more glorious from there.

The treasured beyond measure theme and branding by Wilori Lane came together flawlessly. The tiny tresure chests were present throughout the design and infused in every decor detail. I couldn’t wait to see everyone’s reaction!

Baby Shower Cake & Dessert Stations

If you have followed us for a while, you know we take dessert seriously. We are known for the details here at Jayne Heir and your event cake and desserts are no exception. Because we created such an intricate and ethereal event design, we knew the cake had to be extraordinary and our friends over at Mon Delice definitely delivered. We also adored the custom cake topper created by Wilori Lane which made the cake fit perfectly in theme.

A Blue Signature Cocktail

You might not consider a signature cocktail for a baby shower but trust us, it’s always a hit! For Michelle and Bode, we created a bar menu of “Ogunwole Punch” which was made up of vodka, blue curacao and lemon-lime soda. The blue color of the drink blended seamlessly with the decor, and guests’ also received a branded “treasured beyond measure” stirstick – an unexpected, yet impressive, touch.

Creating a Memorable Guest Experience

As much as we love to swoon over the details (and hope your guests enjoy every inch of the space the same as we do!), what we love most is creating a unique and memorable experience. For Michelle and Bode, part of that was creating a blue floral backdrop for guests to take selfies in front of. It also meant offering fun shoe covers for guests who preferred to leave their shoes on! When we plan an event, no detail is overlooked, but none of the details matter if there is no space and room for your guests’ to enjoy it. We were happy to create a baby shower design that was as fun as it was fabulous.
