Gorgeous and Lavish DC Bridal Shower

It’s been a while since we’ve shared a DC bridal shower feature on the blog (I think mine was the last one!), so if you have been dying to celebrate your recent engagement lavishly, as you should, prepare to soak up some inspiration. We will be forever in love with Twyla’s soft mint green and blush color palette, luscious florals, velvet chairs, and a million other little details that made her bridal shower one-of-a-kind. Designing this Mint + Blush Bridal Shower

Let’s set the scene for this surprise bridal shower. Twyla’s bride tribe wanted to create something stunning and luxurious for their friend and bride-to-be. Guests walked into the entrance of the shower through cascading florals (starting at the door) and were met with personalized clutches and acrylic name cards for each guest. Personally, we loved playing with textures for this design. We combined the soft, opulent feel of the velvet chairs with captivating floral centerpieces that made a statement. While we love when our wedding couples go big and bold, it was equally refreshing for us to design something with a soft and feminine color palette. We truly start from scratch for each wedding or event we design.

Event Design Philosophy at Jayne Heir

On top of the statement feature pieces, the bridal shower table decor was made complete with an array of unique glassware and textured candles scattered throughout the design. The 3-dimensional floral menu cards were truly icing on the cake for this incredible display. We have said it before, and we will say it again. Truly, NO detail is ever too small to be considered. Everything we design works together to create not only a cohesive design but a truly lavish and immersive experience for our clients and their guests.

Twyla made her grand entrance after guests arrived and stole the show (as she should!). She looked absolutely STUNNING in her sparkly white jumpsuit.

Things to do at a Bridal Shower: Gifts, Games + Toasts

While we love to design beautiful events like this DC bridal shower, it’s even more important that they be enjoyable to attend! Twyla’s bridal shower featured gift-opening (while she sat in a stunning blush feature chair with an overarching floral arrangement surrounding her), toasts from family and friends, and even a fun “his or her” game her fiancé joined her for! Guests guessed whether a characteristic was more like her or him by holding up a mustache or lips, resulting in plenty of laughs and many memories. It was so good they had to finish with a bow!

DC Event Planners in 2023

You can never have too many photo backdrops in 2023! At every event we design, the guest experience is highly regarded. This means considering what’s important to them and how they will interact with the space. That often means more than one place to take a great selfie or group photo! While there was no shortage of beautiful details at Tyla’s DC bridal shower, we went above and beyond. We created a tropical luxe “good vibes only” backdrop and an even more elaborate disco karaoke display!
